Women's Health
At Minnesota Community Care, we envision a community where everyone can access exceptional, comprehensive health care and lead healthy, fulfilling lives. We are leading the pack as the provider of choice, delivering affordable, quality health care driven by compassion and respect for all.
Our team of Women’s Health providers offers birth control counseling and prescriptions, prenatal and postpartum care, visits for all gynecology concerns, colposcopies, and breast and cervical cancer screenings. In partnership with The MN SAGE Program, we are able to provide Pap smears and mammograms to all women, regardless of their ability to pay or insurance status.
What is a Nurse Midwife?
A Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) is a healthcare provider with advanced training to care for a woman’s health over the course of her lifetime. This includes care during pregnancy, birth, and after birth (postpartum). It also includes services such as family planning, birth control, sexual infection screenings, and routine women’s health care needs. If a high risk situation arises during pregnancy, you need a cesarean (C-Section), or require specialized care, we work together with a team of obstetricians and specialists from Health Partners and Minnesota Perinatal Physicians.
Our team of Certified Nurse Midwives and family doctors is excited and honored to support you during this special time. The word midwife means “with women.” That is our goal. To be “with” you during pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Read more about the role of midwives on the official page for the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
If you are in need of care, please request an appointment.
